Welcome to my apartment on the Rue Chapon in the heart of the Marais district of Paris. It has been recently renovated to incorporate the charm of its 17th century interior with the conveniences of today. This antique filled apartment is approximately 820 square feet (76 sq. meters). It is in easy walking distance of the Picasso Museum, Carnavalet Museum, Place des Vosges, Beaubourg as well as the cathedral of St. Eustache where there are frequent concerts. You are only ten minutes on foot from Notre Dame, the original center of Paris. The Marais is known not only for its beautiful old buildings, but also the wonderful food shops on the Rue de Bretagne and the cafes of Beauboug. From the Costes restaurant, " George" at the top of the nearby Centre Pompidou you can sip champagne and watch the sunset of the Paris skyline.

There are beamed ceilings throughout and the original stone walls in the large living room. In winter you can light a fire in the working fireplace and curl up on the velvet couches. The cheerful kitchen, with all new appliances, has ample place to sit down for breakfast. The apartment consists of a large living room overlooking the street and a master bedroom, second bedroom/study and kitchen facing the quiet courtyard. There is a bathroom with tub and shower and separate WC. The apartment is fully equipped, and, in addition to the breakfast area in the kitchen, there is a more formal dining area at the end of the living room .

As for "electronic capability": there is wireless access to a high speed DSL line: the "landline telephone" provides free calling to the US, Canada and throughout Europe: and the flat screen TV is connected to cable so you can watch over 200 channels including international ones. There is also a DVD/CD player.

My representative in Paris will meet you to explain the appliances and answer any questions you may have. There is also a large notebook in the containing information about local places and more details about the apartment. A library of several Paris guidebooks is for your use while in Paris. A once a week cleaning service is included at which time the sheets and towels are changed. Should you wish additional cleaning service that can be arranged.

There are several bus stops nearby. The Arts & Metiers metro stop is less than a five minute walk: and nearby Les Halles is a central metro stop for many of the Paris lines. It is also served by the RER line which goes straight to the airport. The Gare du Nord the departure point of the Eurostar to London is also easily accessible by metro.

Should you wish to be met at the airport, I can arrange a private car to take you and your luggage up to the apartment. His charge is approximately 95 Euro from Charles De Gaulle airport. You may also make your own arrangements with him should you wish a chauffeured car while in Paris.

Rental Fees are based on a one week minimum. In high season this is 2100 Euro per week. In low season the rate is 1800 to 1900 Euro a week depending on length of stay. The low season is relatively short in Paris....the last week of June through the end of August. This really is "my apartment" so I can usually accommodate your booking dates. If you are considering Christmas thru New Years Eve book early. It is a little pricier (2300 Euro) but rather special to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle with its thousands of lights as we welcome yet another new year in beautiful Paris.
For your convenience payment can be arranged via wire transfer.
